General Idea

The European Animation Project brings together primary schools from across Europe to collaborate on a series of animation clips, which are then shown in an online exhibition.

Pupils make international contacts and work together in small virtual teams. They have the opportunity to illustrate and animate their ideas and stories in a medium they like. Generating ideas, developing a storyline and communicating across language barriers are the main objectives of this project.

The form of collaboration between individual students and between schools is described in the generic PracticalSetup. General educational benefits are discussed in CurriculumLinks.

The technical platform is FluxTime Studio, the animation environment developed for children from 4 to 14 years. Students exchange and reuse artwork, which makes collaboration easy and direct. The software is extremely easy to use and enables even very young children to create their own animations in no time.

Two groups of schools from Sweden, Poland, Latvia and the United Kindom have so far collaborated in this project and produced some stunning work. Check out the online exhibition to get a taste!

If YOU are looking for an exciting international project, then please have a look around this website and join us if you like.
